Job Purpose:

This position will work in Cat Electronics-China Design Center Electrical and Electronics team to provide engineering management support in leading R&D activities including the specification development, concept, design, analysis, validation, production release and after-production engineering support of electrical and electronics system solutions for Cat China heavy equipment products.

The incumbent is expected to demonstrate experiences in new product introduction and team leader skills to manage new product development projects to meet the critical customer requirements including reliability & durability at or below cost targets.

The incumbent will also actively participate in component sourcing efforts in China by working w/ purchasing professionals and supplier development engineers.

The incumbent will demonstrate strong knowledge and experience in electronics control module development including in hardware and software systems. Additional knowledge and experience in GPS and GSM technology are also desired.

The incumbent will demonstrate strong customer focus by staying current with customer needs as well as new technologies, electronics manufacturing & assembly processes/methods.

Background / Experience:

Required (Must Have)
BS/MS in Electrical/Electronics Engineering
Design, analysis or test experiences related electronics systems and ECU control module development.
Ability to effectively communicate in English in work environment.
Strong initiative, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to conduct multiple projects concurrently.

Desired (Nice to Have)
Manufacturing and/or assembly experiences in PCBA, packaging and housing, ECU assembly and testing
Experiences in working w/ suppliers to provide engineering support to purchasing.
