Responsibilities:

An electronics/electrical component engineer is needed to work with a diverse set of customers to facilitate, manage and track new component product introduction projects to support APD E/M product NPI programs. Duties will include lab management and monitoring, electronics/electrical component testing, and components evaluation and failure analysis.
The incumbent is expected to work under the direction of the component lead engineer within Cat Electronics-China and provide test support to meet the needs of systems teams and Global purchasing groups for NPI developments, reliability improvements, or components localization and low cost country sourcing. An ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of project management and experience working with electrical and electronics/electrical systems testing, knowledge and experiences of test standards and regulations, knowledge and experience of electrical component testing and associated automated test tools.

Travel opportunities vary up to 50%.

Minimum Job Qualifications:

BS/MS in Electronics/electrical Engineering
Excellent organization and communication skills (both English speaking and writing),
Experience working with electrical and electronics/electrical systems and components testing,
Experience working with customers and suppliers,
Experience and knowledge of electrical and electronics/electrical related standards and regulations, such as RoHS, WEEE, Safety standards.
Must be a self-motivated team player and desire to work in a team environment.

Desired Job Qualifications:

Experience working with fast paced projects including managing schedules, resources and costs is highly desired,
Experience and knowledge of component sourcing
Experience of establishing test lab
Knowledge of PC tools such as Visio, MSOffice,
Knowledge of Web-based environment,
