Component Engineer will support the design teams in efficiently selecting components for new and improved designs, assisting sourcing in establishing new vendors and / or switching existing parts to new or established vendors.
Bachelor degree or above in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
Minimum 3 years experience in product cost reduction projects, knowledge with variety of parts and services including but not limited to electronics, plastic, metal, subassemblies, tooling, and prototypes.
Experiences in engineering commodities and purchasing processes.
Experiences in negotiating best pricing and deliveries to meet the cost and timing targets of the NPI programs. Experience in dealing with supplier quality and delivery issues.
Excellent English, oral, and written communications skills required.
