Responsibilities
1. LCM mechanical development for automotive application by using standardized parts and working methods to guarantee optimal functionality and manufacturability of designs/components and achieve lowest cost purpose.
2. Create/Maintain BOM and technical documents in systems to enable data control and data accessibility to all stakeholders.
3. Being the mechanical project engineer in the project and work with SBM, to manage the design/development process per project in order to guarantee finished designs, sample making, components evaluation and release within the committed time frame.
4. Technical communication with customer and supplier in project development phase.
5. Give the Mechanical Architect support during concept phase of new projects and component improvement regarding capability, cost, quality and reliability.
6. As member of the mechanical engineering group, work with the engineering manager for technical Know How development and implementation.
7. Support purchasing on supplier selection and audit.
Specifications
Academic / Professional Qualification: Bachelor or Master degree in Mechanical engineering or relevant
Working Experience: Preferably Bachelor 3+ years or Master 1+ years relevant working experience
Expertise / Skills:
1. Experience with Pro/Engineer and AutoCAD.
2. Experience with working in a product development team in an international company/TaiWan company.
3. Knowledge or experience with production control related statistic tools and methods (SPC, Cp, CpK, Gage R&R)
4. Knowledge of design and development tools and methods (QFD, FMEA etc.).
5. Good problem solving skills.
6. Good communication skills and able to work in a cross-functional environment.
7. Fluency in English and Chinese.
8. Knowledge of LCD technology is preferable but not a must.
9. Experience in FEM and thermal analysis / simulation software like Abaqus or Solidworks/Cosmos is preferred.
10. Familiar with one of plastic molding process, die-cutting process/tape knowledge, metal stamping process, FPC/PCBA process is a plus.
11.Familiar with PPAP procedure is preferred.
