Product Manager, Electric/ Electronics (Industrial)

Summary of Position

The position is located at the Shanghai office. The Product Manager ensures that Chinese customers get best-in-class  technical and application support. He is monitoring  the product market prices and supporting the sales team in new design-in activities.

Qualifications and Experience

The position requires that the candidate is university graduate in Electronics Engineering or related discipline with at least 5 years’ relevant working experience preferably in electronics or electrical products.

The candidate should have and be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills and with good analytical mind, willing to learn, supportive, detailed, organized and presentable.  Mature and able to work independently.

Complete and expert fluency in spoken and written English is a requirement.

Position in detail

The position entails responsibility for the following:

Job Duties:

1.    Continuously supports and strengthens the technical selling ability of the sales team and focuses on new design-in wins

2.    Provides the 2^nd level technical support. Cooperates with the GBU when necessary for 3^rd level technical support.  

3.    Ensures that sales staff use only the agreed selling price which is provided by the GBU minor some prior agreed discounts.

4.    Provide sales staff with updated sales tools.

a.    Chinese versions of product presentations.

b.    Chinese versions of catalogues.

c.    Sample kits.

d.    Product demonstration kits.

e.    Product Panels for exhibitions.

5.    Organizes the launch of new products into the China industrial market

6.    Writes and prepares Chinese versions of technical articles, press-releases and product advertising for the Marketing Communications team in Hong Kong and China

7.    Monitors and reports monthly  on (new) competitor`s products, price strategy, market share and application activities in China. Benchmark our technical support with that of our competitors.

8.    Handles product quality complaints

9.    Writes visit reports in SAP/CRM regarding new business  opportunities coming directly to them from customers or distributors after each visit

10. Prepares, organizes and conducts exhibitions, trainings and seminars with customers and/or staff

11. Assists other departments with product expertise as required.
