Title: Facility Manager
Reports to Account Manager
Key Business Responsibilities :
1. Provide a comfortable work environment for customer’s employees by ensuring that means are in place to check and correct deficiencies in temperature, lighting, noise and other potential irritants.
2. Recommend solutions and implement appropriate corrective action to major or complex facility maintenance issues.
3. Develop and review work methods; ensure that work is being performed safely and efficiently.
4. Develop preventive maintenance programs to achieve the lowest life-cycle cost associated with providing a satisfactory environment for the customer; establish specific maintenance actions and their frequency of performance.
5. Ensure that work orders are completed in a timely fashion; analyze recurring repairs and recommend a cost-effective solution.
6. Ensure that repairs are completed with a minimum of downtime to operating systems.
7. Oversee commissioning activity associated with new construction by outside contractor’s and bring deficiencies to the attention of the Project Director and the customer.
8. Evaluate the capabilities, contract for and oversee the activities of outside service contractors providing maintenance services to building systems.
9. Responsible for cost estimates for maintenance/repair of capital projects; provide cost estimates, specifications and project planning.
10. Collect and present data to monitor department performance.
11. Comply with all company policies and procedures and adhere to company standards.
12. Must be a team player committed to working in a quality environment.
13. Willingly perform any other non-specific job-related duties as requested.
General Qualification Requirements:
This position requires a bachelor’s degree in mechanical or engineering with 8 years or experience in facility maintenance or related field. In addition, the successful candidate will have three years of supervisory experience and possess effective communication, organizational, and human relations skills.
