Component Engineer-电子器件
Location: Shanghai
Required to resolve component issues identified by ongoing production at Company contract Manufacturers, Value Engineering efforts, and Continuation Engineering efforts. The candidate will interface and coordinate with Company contract manufacturers, Company development engineers, manufacturing, planning and purchasing personnel to resolve component obsolescence issues. The candidate will also coordinate with Company value engineering, commodity managers, development engineering and manufacturing personnel to identify single sourced components and drive productivity by qualifying lower cost alternate components.
Because the position will be required to interface with diverse engineering personnel, experience in a broad engineering background is required. Engineering experience should include at least a subset of; Supply management engineering, i.e. BOM analysis, BOM scrubs, cost and lifecycle analysis. Component engineering including analog and digital component specification analysis and comparison and comparison documentation, circuit analysis of component specification change impacts. Development engineering experience in analog and digital design would be beneficial. Production engineering experience would also be beneficial. The candidate should also have experience working with, massaging and understanding large amounts of data including databases and spreadsheets.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor of Science in an electrical engineering curriculum.
- 5+ years experience in component, development, production engineering.
ADDITONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge and understanding of active, passive, electromechanical components
- Knowledge and understanding of circuits and circuit design.
- Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes and contract manufacturing.
- BOM Analysis and cleansing
- Analytical problem solving skills.
- Understanding and familiarity with Approved Manufacturers Lists and the ramifications of changes to them.
- Ability to come to speed quickly on new tools, both off the shelf and proprietary.
- Ability to coordinate and drive people from diverse organizations with diverse goals to meet intended objectives.
- Ability to work autonomously toward defined goals.
- Knowledge and understanding of component trial run requirements and expectations.
- Ability to utilize multiple unrelated online tools to research and clarify obscure data.
- Familiarity with Oracle data base.
- Familiarity with OneSource for Engineering Tool.
- Familiarity with PartMiner Caps Connect.
- Knowledge and experience of the RoHS directive and implications.
- Familiarity with Lotus Notes.
