ð Leading the Team within Global Operations and being the primary operations interface to the core product development team . As the Operation’s owner of the product, either through direct involvement and/or influence, you will be ensuring the successful launch of the product towards meeting its stated Cost, Quality, Availability and Customer Experience goals.
ð Planning and execution of all development builds and ramp in concert with your product development team and ODM.
ð Drive for responsive supply chains that are optimized for lowest costs, greater operational flexibility, regional fulfillment and highest quality.
ð Manage all project-related communications; escalating key issues and presenting options for resolution to the cross-functional Executive team thru the new product reviews.
ð Lead readiness all development builds readiness and execution. Work closely with the ODM team on pre- and post-build activities. Create and implement internal and external processes and help with their implementation and standardization across product lines and ODMs.
ð Drive for optimized supply chains at lowest costs and operational flexibility, by influencing sourcing strategy, manufacturability and testability goals; and improve regional capability.
ð Drive ramp readiness checklists that include completion of component and tooling qualification, material availability, equipment, fixtures, training, documentation, and transition plans, ensuring the ODM plays the lead role. Manage the schedule and highlight, communicate, and escalate any potential obstacle in meeting the build and ramp schedules. Drive issues to closure with the appropriate cross functional owners.
ð Manage project communications; escalate key project issues, and present options to the Operations executive team, thru the weekly New Product Review process.
ð Responsible for the overall operations schedule, production capacity planning and materials readiness to Change management of all ECO's with internal and external mfg. sites for sustaining products (post production ramp) meet product development schedule milestones
Skills/Experience:
Broad experience in Manufacturing, Product quality, and Supply chain Management
Strong balance of supply chain management, operations management and product and process technology
Expertise in new product introduction processes
Understanding of factory operations and planning
Able to define and drive process and quality improvements
Prior technical experience in PCBA/System Mfg will be an added advantage.
Analytical, process oriented and strong problem solving skills.
Good command of English verbal / writing skills is a must for daily communication with peers and ODMs.
Well versed in Intermediate MS Office skills and Advanced user of Excel Data Modeling/Analytical skills.
Qualifications:
Min. of Bachelor’s in Engineering or related field
Graduate degree preferred
MBA preferred
10-15 years experience in the development of complex consumer electronic products
5 years directly-applicable manufacturing experience required
