SKF has been growing well in China since its establishment and is surely heading for even higher ambition in the coming years. The role of application engineer is to deliver SKF technical support and engineering service to customers with the aim to enlarge the business base and customer satisfaction relationship, drive product development and quality improvement, and to further create value-added solutions to the customers.
Key Responsibilities:
· Strengthen the brand image of SKF as the Knowledge Engineering Company
· Develop technical solutions (transmission) to customer, including bearing selection, application advice, and failure analysis through bearing calculations, customer specification review
· Coordinate with AE Manager and Manufacture Department in the SKF Group to drive product quality improvement and new product development
· Conduct technical presentations, training & seminars to customers and internal colleagues
· Update and issue application oriented promotion material and technical presentations
· Arranges and participates in segment exhibition and conference, when required
· Coordinating design, prototype and testing activities etc.
· Taking active part in technical issue resolution on field return parts
· When assigned to a project, working closely with project managers to launch the products
Required skill and working experiences:
· Minimum bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent;
· Over 3 years solid bearing experience, ideally in automotive segment;
· Good planning, coordination, communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills, sound teamwork spirit;
· Working in cross-functional and international networks, and very organized working style;
· Self-motivating, innovation and customer oriented.
· Good command of written and oral English
· Fast learner and computer literate
· Willing to travel domestic and overseas
