The Opportunity

 

Sensa, a Schlumberger Company, is the world leader in the development, application and operational use of fibre optic based sensing solutions for a variety of markets. Due to the increasing demand for Sensa solutions we now require a Sales Manager to spearhead the business in Asia Pacific and capitalise on the growing opportunities for this leading edge technology within the power sector.

 

The Brief

 

The power market is a major user of Sensa solutions. Sensa’s Power business is a premier business within the company, setting standards internationally and placing Sensa as market leader in "Power Cable Monitoring" and related fields of condition assessment and condition monitoring.

A substantial customer base has already been established world-wide with major power cable manufacturers, installation contractors, consultants and utilities but further development is necessary to maximise growing opportunities within Asia Pacific.

Understanding the market, Sensa technology, client requirements and translation of this into customised solutions is the challenge.

The role of the Sales Manager is to further expand the business in Asia Pacific through the professional and strategic development of key accounts.

 

The Candidate

 

a) Knowledgeable in power transmission and distribution.

b) Minimum of 5 years experience in Sales and Marketing.

c) Highly motivated delivery orientated individual.

d) Team player with leadership skills, who can unlock the business potential.

e) Strategically and commercially aware.

f) International outlook.

g) High energy and willing to travel.

h) Good communicator with excellent presentation skills.

 

An Electrical Engineering degree combined with strong business and selling skills is desirable, as is the ability to operate independently with minimal supervision. The job location will be in Beijing with responsibility for sales throughout Asia Pacific

Research and Development
