Job Title: Test Engineer
Unit: Laboratory
Job Summary: Responsible for performing test and perform duties in accordance with the instruction from the supervisor
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Carry out tests for product/component per relevant standards and testing requirements;
- Prepare Test Data Sheet (TDS), test reports and other related documents;
- Analyze and conclude test results
Maintain discipline, proper environmental conditions, safety and good house-keeping in the test laboratory;
- Maintain laboratory equipment, facilities and test jigs in properly good conditions;
- Prepare equipment work instructions (WI) and maintain good technical records
- Report any damage of equipment and facilities etc.
- Proper handling of laboratory’s equipment (including validation, maintenance and repair of equipment, parts, thermocouple and test jigs);
- Proper handling of Consumable Materials and Reagents etc.;
- Assist in purchase of laboratory’s equipment and items per relevant requirements;
- Provide support on Corrective Actions, Preventive Actions and Improvement of the laboratory;
- Assist in technical training of Junior Test Engineer as per the requirements of tests;
- Provide photographic and reproduction services;
- Maintain contact with the supervisor with regard to the progress of the test;
- Participate in activities related to Lab Internal Audit and Lab Assessments;
- Undertake any other duties assigned by the Project Manager/Laboratory Manager
Basic Requirements:
- Higher Diploma or Degree holder in Electronic/ Electrical Engineering/ Physics or related subjects
- Integrity and customer-orientated mind
Preferred:
- Experience in the field of electrical safety testing/ manufacturing of electrical products is preferred;
- Fresh graduate but with good character or potential can also be considered;
- Good team player with proactive working attitude;
Willing to travel
