职位描述/要求：

Seeking a candidate to support our optical front end products.  This position requires significant technical background in optical storage (servo, read and write, host interface, etc.). The candidate must be able to establish excellent rapport with major customers and communicate clearly with internal engineers and management.

 

Job duties:

·         Interface between the customer and design team to communicate and coordinate product requirements, schedule, status and issues

·         Work at customer sites and local office as a full participant in the development of next generation Blu-ray player & recorder products.

·         Strong analytical skills to investigate and resolve issues on site and gather information needed by the product development team

·         Train both customers and other team members on the technology

·         Assist in sales and business development with customers

Area of expertise:

·         Servo control system tuning for spindle, focus and tracking  servo loop optimization & stability improvement

·         Laser control system tuning

·         PRML Read channel tuning for readability and error rate reduction

·         ABEX or horror discs playability tuning

·         ATAPI/S-ATA interface basic understanding

·         Manufacturing, Process and Quality engineering

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum five years experience in optical storage industry
  • MSEE, MSME or equivalent education
  • Excellent written and spoken English language skills
  • Able to coordinate project development among multiple locations
  • Willing to travel and spend significant time at customer sites
