Job Description
The successful RF Product Sr. Engineer candidate will become a key engineering team member for a commercially-deployed multi-mode (CDMA, WCDMA, GSM, GPS) data module.
Duties will include
- validation of data module performance, qualification and optimization of the module manufacturing process
- analysis and resolution of yield and quality issues as required, generation of engineering documentation to aid debug of production failures
- support of product design changes (hardware, software, or test) from initial manufacturing introduction through module production life
Skills/Experience
- Minimum five years preferred in a high volume production environment in addition to a strong RF background
- Comprehensive knowledge of the set-up and operation, both manual and automated, of RF test equipment used in the development of wireless communications including multi-mode wireless communication test sets and spectrum analyzers
Candidate must be a self-starter who can take direction from project lead and work well with cross-functional team members from other engineering disciplines such as hardware, software, test, manufacturing, regulatory
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are required, including the ability to compile and present technical data, report details regarding production yield/quality issues, and provide corrective action plans for engineering management review
- International travel between QUALCOMM offices and high-volume manufacturing locations is required
Additional Skills
The following experience will be beneficial in this position:
- Knowledge from development and/or production support for mobile products incorporating QCT chipsets, background in software development and baseband/analog circuitry including USB 2.0 and flash memory, and working knowledge of 802.11a/b/g and Bluetooth
- Proficient verbal and written Mandarin language skill is required
Education Requirements Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
