Job Description

-Participating technical meetings related with handset specifications and handset testing
specifications; coordinating internal engineer teams for specification review and provide status summary
-Participating carrier lab & filed protocol, application testing; providing technical support for carriers
-Participating carrier new feature/new technical requirements meeting, co-work with engineering team for support defining system architecture, handset specifications, IOT & field testing, commercial launch.
-Understood carrier network development/deployment planning, providing suggestions and plans on overall supports: new features testing, regression testing, new platform testing etc.
-Co-work with carrier, infrastructure vendor, handset vendor to identify/solve problems found in the filed
-Providing monthly carrier technical activities summary
-Require the candidate to learn DOrA/DOr0/CDMA2000/WiFi wireless protocols, Qualcomm Mobile station software and relevant implementation details, In-circuit emulators and debuggers, testing tools and parsers
-Require to use Qualcomm prototype handsets, interfacing with BS software developers and Qualcomm engineers to test various technology and features, debug failures, develop scripts to automate testing and debugging, and document various procedures
-Domestic travel is expected

Skills/Experience

-Should be with motivation, initiatives, strong communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
-Good understanding of wireless digital communication systems and signal processing. Experience in C programming is required
-Experience of wireless system software development on telecommunications devices is a plus
-Familiar with Software debugging
-Any coursework and/or projects related to wireless communication, coding theory, RF propagation and fading will be considered favorably
-Flexible about job assignments and detail oriented
-Teamwork and good inter-personal skills are a must

Additional Skills

-Prior experience in customer facing Application Engineering role is a plus.
-Familiarity with 802.11 and CDMA is preferred
-Basic English communication skills both in verbal and written and presentation skills are a must

Education Requirements

-Master's degree in Computer Engineering/Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience is required
