Job Description
UMTS Support technical activities:
-Co-work with carrier, infrastructure, handset vendor to identify/solve problems found in field
-Participate technical meetings related with handset specifications and handset testing specifications;
-coordinate internal engineer teams for spec. review and provide status summary
-Participate carrier lab & filed protocol, application testing; provide technical support for carriers
-Participate carrier new feature/new technical requirements meeting, co-work with engineering team for support defining system architecture, handset specifications, IOT & field testing, commercial launch
-Understand carrier network development/deployment planning, provide suggestions and plans on overall supports: new features testing, regression testing, new platform testing etc
-Provide monthly carrier technical activities summary
-Travel is expected
Skills/Experience
-Knowledge and experience on UMTS protocols (NAS, RRC, RLC/MAC, L1)
-Strong communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
-Interoperability/System test experience in the areas of WCDMA/HSPA/ GSM/GPRS/EDGE
-Self-motivated
-Fluent Cantonese besides English and Mandarin
Additional Skills
-Experience in China carriers or Hongkong UMTS testing
-Knowledge of UMTS service
-Familiar with C++
Education Requirements
-Bachelor degree in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering with 3+ years experience
-Master degree in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering preferred
