JOB SUMMARY:
§ To be the content expert for the product assigned to provide customer a dedicated support in Test Engineering and Debug Engineer issues
§ The Senior Test Engineer performs Tester and Program Development, Test Solution Implementation, Project Support and support of the Diagnosis and Repair Group.
§ To lead a group of test technicians to support production lines for minimum machine downtime. Also to maintain proper record of all machine preventive maintenance work for ISO requirement. Responsible for new projects/equipment set up and commission.
§ To lead a group of Debug Technician and Debug Operator to support production for maintaining a control number of debug boards with debug area and ensuring that WIP is held at not more than agree level.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
§ The Senior Test Engineer shall provide Project Management with accurate and timely quotations for all relevant test, diagnosis and repair functions.
§ To act as the main interface with assigned for all tests related issues. Review all assemblies for testability and interact with the customer and design facility to improve test access, coverage, and reduce the cost of test.
§ To provide accurate test quotation for new or existing customers, or meets with customers to determine requirements, and prepares plans and quotes.
§ The Senior Test Engineer is responsible along with the customer to develop the test process and Test Specifications, that ensure the customer receives only product that meets their requirements.
§ The Senior Test Engineer shall constantly upgrade the test process to identify design deficiencies and screen manufacturing and electrical defects from the customer. He/she shall strive to obtain an optimized Test Process balancing cost, coverage and test time.
§ The Senior Test Engineer shall review all assemblies for testability and interact with the customer and design facility to improve test access, coverage and reduce the cost of test.
§ Develop and improves test procedures, tester hardware and software for electronic circuit board production, subject to established standards. Generates reports and performs analysis of test data. Initiates changes in testing procedures.
§ The Senior Test Engineer shall design and support the build and maintenance of tester, fixtures, and environmental chambers as required to meet customer specific requirements.
§ The Senior Test Engineer shall supply comprehensive and accurate documentation for all testers, component programmers, and diagnostic/repair processes.
§ The Senior Test Engineer shall provide support to the operations department through participation in the Continuous Improvement Program, and promotion of a "Quality First" mentality.
§ The Senior Test Engineer shall monitor and contribute to the improvement of Test Yields, Test Efficiency, Tester Intermittencies, Electrical Defects, and overall Tester performance.
§ The Senior Test Engineer shall ensure comprehensive specifications are produced relating to performance, required standards of quality and conformity for subcontract vendors and shall be required to assess the suitability of a chosen vendor to perform to those criterion.
§ The Senior Test Engineer shall contribute to the training of Test Engineers, Test Technicians, Diagnostic Technicians, Test Operators and Component Programmers.
§ The Senior Test Engineer shall work with the Diagnosis Group to find more efficient ways to diagnose defective assemblies and shall aid the group in clearing hard debug assemblies.
§ The Senior Test Engineer shall investigate new and existing test and diagnosis methods to improve existing products and support advancing technologies. He/she shall actively investigate and document new test strategies and develop trials to ensure capability is provided as required.
§ The Senior Test Engineer shall introduce control systems to ensure conformity to ISO standards and that he/she continually reviews all Department systems in order to improve their efficiency and ease of use.
§ The Senior Test Engineer shall spend time on ongoing education to keep up with new technologies. Some examples of ongoing education include schooling, reading technical publications, going to seminars, classes and shows.
§ The Senior Test Engineer shall adhere to all safety guidelines and actively promote a safety conscious attitude within his/her department.
REQUIREMENTS
§ Degree/Diploma in Electrical/Electronics engineering with at least 3 years working experience in Test or relative Engineering field.
§ Excellent oral & written communication and interpersonal skills. Work requires initiative and judgment, within standard procedures and a thorough knowledge of department and corporate policies and procedures dealing with the area of responsibility.
§ Able to develop test method and provide hardware and software that can fulfill the project needs.
§ Works under minimal supervision, operates with great latitude in choosing methods for accomplishing objectives. Applies advanced and comprehensive knowledge of theoretical concepts.
