Essential Job Functions
This position is responsible for maintaining good relationship with and providing technical support to aacPlus clients, Professional Licensees and network operators, and all clients who use Dolby Technologies. Main responsibilities include:
- Execute aacPlus implementation plans with clients to get rid of road blocks
- Execute DD and DD+ professional licensing plans
- Integrate DP600 to local non-linear systems
- Accurately forecast technical problems, troubleshoot problems and provide solutions
- Maintain regular contacts with technical clients to learn their needs
- Manage the day to day communication activities within the specified accounts, track and ensure follow up on outstanding issues, using a diplomatic, professional and service oriented approach, including face-to-face meetings.
- Conduct training for engineers of clients and system integrators
- Identify opportunities to propagate new technologies into existing accounts and existing technologies into new accounts.
- Understand and build upon client's perspective; gather relevant sales and market information. Provide feedback to internal marketing group.
- Participate in business meetings to learn how to implement Dolby technology into new market area.
- Establish effective communication channels with appropriate executives and managers to ensure proper sensitivity to technical needs.
Other Responsibilities
- Perform tasks necessary to complete performance objectives.
- Assist business development group on gaming. Resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
Education, Skills, Abilities, and Experience Required
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in electronics or related discipline with more than 4 years' of relevant technical experience.
- Software development/software engineering skills will be a plus.
- Experience should include exposure to at least one of the following areas: sufficient software integration background as software design, analog and digital circuitry, PC architecture, broadcast technologies or consumer electronic products, and DSP/micro-controller know-how will be a plus.
- Demonstrably excellent technical skills, time management, communications, decision making, interpersonal skills, presentation and organization skills. Professional appearance and presentation required.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Good written and spoken English
- Frequent travels within the country is required
