QUALIFICATION (DETAIL):
Education:
Electrical or Software Engineering Degree with a wireless communications specialty
 
Experience:
1. Experience with integration of hardware/software systems.
2. Software development, particularly driver development experience.
3. Experience with 802.11 wireless communication protocols.
4. Hands-on experience with setting up and testing communication links.
5. Experience with software troubleshooting.
6. Familiarity with common RF laboratory equipment.
7. Familiarity with common software development and build environments.
8. Ability to communicate well with peers and work in a team.
 
DESCRIPTION OF FUNCTION & RESPONSIBILITY:
1. This is a software development position (for Atheros Radio Test tools - ART).
2. The candidate will be able to modify software to support emerging reference design, troubleshoot and debug software and scripts.
3. Setup systems tests and configure control software, measure and Analyze test data.
4. The candidate will be able to work with customers to modify software and scripts.
5. The candidate will have detailed knowledge of 802.11 communication protocols and be able to isolation and identify common problems.
6. Participation in design reviews and Documentation of designs and test data is expected.

 

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Travel and interactions with customers is required.
