PREREQUISITES
Degree/Diploma in Electrical/Electronics engineering with at least 1 years working experience in PCBA Diagnostic/Repair/Trouble Shooting or relative Engineering field.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Diagnostic Engineer shall provide structured internal training programs for ICT, Functional, System & ESS Diagnostic Technicians covering the specific product architectures, diagnostic techniques and tools, electrical fundamentals and control systems.
The Diagnostic Engineer shall provide a structured program that allows the development and growth of diagnostic skill base from internal candidates through modular and proactive training system.
The Diagnostic Engineer shall provide and interface to support and identify external education programs to continually develop the skills and prospects of the diagnostic groups in Shanghai.
The Diagnostic Engineer shall manage the Diagnostic Structure in terms of the following: -
- To provide an interface to the Workcell assessing product technologies and capacity requirements to realize and manage the overall headcount, skills requirements and resourcing strategy to support the specific Workcell.
- Holiday & urgent management and control of backfill support to the manufacturing teams
The Diagnostic Engineer shall assist where required in the development of customer specific diagnostic requirements as well as investigate and realize new generic diagnostic equipment and techniques as required.
Coordinates resolutions of problems with customers, suppliers and Diagnostic Technicians. Provide 1st level failure analysis when needed.
The Diagnostic Engineer shall monitor technician and Workcell diagnostic performance through regular measurement of critical metrics of Diag throughput, Mis- diagnosis and Debug WIP with the objective of maximizing efficiency and effectiveness of the diagnostic function within each Workcell. He/She should assist in identifying root cause along with the Workcell staff to minimize any potential impact.
Monitors and analyzes test fallout data. Conducts in-depth diagnosis on high fallout boards to determine the root cause of problems and to recommend corrective actions.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
Electrical/Electronics engineering skills including demonstrated knowledge of schematics, circuit theory, and troubleshooting.
Excellent oral & written communication, and interpersonal skills. Work requires initiative and judgment, within standard procedures and a thorough knowledge of department and corporate policies and procedures dealing with the area of responsibility.
