POSITION DESCRIPTION
SCOPE:
WORKING WITHIN VPD BEIJING TECH CENTRE TEAM, THE GROUP IS RESPONSIBLE FOR R&D DESIGN SUPPORT FOR A WIDE RANGE OF ACTIVITIES FOR THE INFRASTRUCTURE AND NETWORKING PRODUCTS INCLUDING PCB DESIGN. THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL BE ADDRESSING TECHNICAL ISSUES ASSOCIATED WITH PCBs THROUGHOUT THE PRODUCT LIFECYCLE.
DUTIES:
MAIN RESPONSIBILITY INCLUDES HIGH SPEED PCB DESIGN FOR BROADCAST APPLICATION, AND POSSIBLE PART MODEL DEVELOPMENT. KEY TO THIS EFFORT WILL BE THE ALIGNMENT TO EXISTING PROCESSES AND PROCESSES DEFINED BY THE CSE TEAM IN TORONTO. ASSEMBLY DRAWING GENERATION FOR THAT APPLICABLE PCB DESIGN MAY ALSO BE REQUIRED TO SUPPORT THE DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS. IN ADDITION, SUPPORT MANUFACTURING TO RESOLVE ISSUES INVOLVING PCB DESIGN AS REQUIRED. ADMINISTER AND FOCAL FOR THE PCB CAD TOOL IN BEIJING.
QUALIFICATION:
REQUIRED
KNOWLEDGE AND PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE IN HIGH SPEED PCB DESIGNS INCLUDING CONTROLLED IMPEDANCE, SIGNAL INTEGRITY, STACKUP DEFINITION (UNDERSTANDING MATERIALS CHARACTERISICS RELATED TO HIGH SPEED DESIGN) AND LIASING WITH MANUFACTURING AND SUPPLIERS TO RESOLVE PCB TECHNICAL ISSUES TO ENSURE MANUFACTURABILITY IS MAINTAINED/ACHIEVED.
EXPERIENCE IN CREATING AND CONTROL OF PART MODELS AND ASSOCIATED LIBRARIES FOR PCB DESIGNS. EXPERIENCE IN CREATION OF ASSEMBLY DRAWINGS.
WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF MENTOR PADS LOGIC AND PADS PCB.
WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF AUTOCAD.
IPC CID+ CERTIFICATION IS AN ASSET.
MINIMUM 5 YEARS WORKING EXPERIENCE IN THE AREAS NOTED ABOVE.
EDUCATION:
MINIMUM ELECTRICAL/ELECTRONIC DIPLOMA OR BACHELORS DEGREE FROM AN ACCREDITED COLLEGE OR UNIVERSITY.
