Description The Aerospace Asia Product Stewardship Leader will provide the Asia region with leadership in support of the Aerospace Global Product Stewardship organization. Leadership accountability will include ensuring the development, consistent implementation, and continual improvement of the Aerospace Global Product Stewardship initiatives across all Aerospace Asia locations and businesses, while providing expert technical assistance and identifying best practices to meet the challenges of product regulation compliance.
- Drives Aerospace Asia Product Stewardship Program consistency and continual performance improvement.
- Leads the development of an Aerospace Asia Product Stewardship Compliance Verification System to help achieve and drive compliance performance excellence.
- Provides expert technical leadership for the Aerospace Global Product Stewardship Process, partnering with and advising the Aerospace SBE Global Leaders - Product Stewardship.
- Participates in Aerospace Asia Product Stewardship Reviews and Assessments.
- Leads the Aerospace Asia support for Product Line Reviews and Product Registrations.
Provides on-site reviews as necessary.
- Monitors and interprets Product Stewardship Regulations in conjunction with the Global Leaders.
- Provides Product Stewardship policy support.
- Participates in due diligence activities as required and necessary for acquisition and divestiture.
- Provides support to Aerospace Asia businesses in Product Stewardship and customer requests.
- Coordinates and leverages Asia Product Stewardship Issues and Solutions.
- In conjunction with the Aerospace Global Leaders, Aerospace Global Product Stewardship Leaders - Product Stewardship develops, implements, and manages a strategy for the Aerospace Asia businesses including emerging/critical issue identification, tracking, interpretation and business impact analysis to provide early warning and planning guidance to the ALT regarding Compliance, STRAP and AOP implications.
- In conjunction with the Global Leaders - Leader represents, coordinates, and advocates Aerospace's business interests in appropriate Product Stewardship activities, trade associations, governmental and non-governmental committees, etc. (e.g. AiA).
- Leads in the development of positive pro-active relationships with Asia governmental and Asia regulatory authorities regarding Aerospace businessess (advocacy).
- Manages Asia interface with Global Director and represents Aerospace Asia Product Stewardship on the Aerospace Global Product Stewardship Council.
- Participates in the development of talent and career stewardship discussions within the Product Stewardship function of Aerospace.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in materials, environmental, electrical engineering or related engineering field
- Minimum 5+ years progressive experience with increasing leadership responsibility in Aerospace, with an emphasis on Europe Product Stewardship desired.
- Experience in the aerospace industry is highly desirable
- Global experience: Knowledge and management experience working in Asia industrial environments and experience with global regulations
- Effective communicator: demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, verbally and in writing.
- Able to interact comfortably with business and operations leaders to establish credibility and influence where necessary.

This position will have an intitial focus on supporting current product regulation activities on China RoHS.
- This position will support the Government Relations Office and reviewing and providing content from China Regulation Standard Working Groups.
- This position would also be expected to scope affects of product regulations on Honeywell Aerospace supply chain within the Asia/Pacific region, not limited too, but including, Malaysia, Japan, Korea, Taiwan.
- Travel 0-20% may be required.
