Work Location: Bohai Bay

Purpose:

• Monitor the running state of VFD and ESP and perform electrical maintenance and repair work to keep them in good condition.

Accountabilities and End Results:

• Carry out planned and corrective maintenance on VFD and the related electrical equipment on Bohai offshore facilities in order to meet production targets whilst complying with company procedures and safe working practices.

Primary Functions:

• Routine maintenance and troubleshooting of the VFD and related surface electrical and control system.
• Make adjustments to VFD configuration as required by observed ESP running state and/or Reservoir Engineering directives.
• Remote control VFD running with FPSO control station.
• The data of ESP and VFD analysis and interpretation.
• Responsibility for all daily well operations and surveillance activities.
• Setup all surface VFD and motor control logic. This will include VFD setup, transformer tap settings as needed and surface cable.
• Cooperate with WHP I&E technician and control engineer to perform routine VFD PM.
• Cooperate with VFD manufacturer to perform VFD annual PM.
• Responsible for the spare part of VFD and relating electrical and instrument equipment.
• Responsible for creating the work requisition of VFD and relating equipment, and supervising the third party.
• Take part in and supervise ESP repair in third party yard.
• Responsible for troubleshooting surface and downhole equipment problems.
• Installed Design/Procedure improvements & modifications under M anagement O f C hange
• Monitor and assist third parties during field tests, and install the ESP/ESPCP systems in the field.

Critical Skills:

• 5 years + Experience with field service for installation, testing, and system startup as well as troubleshooting capabilities for both surface and down hole equipment.
• Experience in maintenance or troubleshooting VFD equipment.
• Knowledge of Robicon perfect harmony series ID-PWM AC medium voltage variable frequency drives.
• Experience with maintenance and troubleshooting ESP.
• Experience + certification in working with medium voltage electric systems is required.
• Expertise and experience with Reservoir Simulation is also required.
• Have excellent interpersonal skills and fluent English.
• Knowledge of GE PLC, CSE, Ifix and communication is also desire.

Reports to Well Head Platform Supervisor.
