Responsibilities:

·          Assume responsibility for design, coordination and completion of new products or enhancements of existing products, design projects and programs.

·          Collaborates closely with mechanical and firmware design resources to meet overall product requirements.

·          Specifies and conducts environmental testing of products with electronics content, including temperature, humidity, EMI, and RFI to meet product requirements.

·          Assume overall project and product responsibility for electronics engineering documentation creation and maintenance, including bill of material specifications, second source component selection, design validation records, and general specifications.

·          Analyze failure modes, effects, and diagnostic coverage for safety related products.

·          Interact and communicate effectively with global Engineering, manufacturing facilities and electronic contract manufacturing facilities as required.

·          Possess ability to troubleshoot design and assess product performance using electronic and mechanical laboratory equipment.

·          Develop test strategies for design verification of sub-circuits and entire electronics assemblies.

·          Develop solutions to technical problems related to customer applications and manufacturing yield. Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities.

Requirements:

·          B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering.

·          Electronic knowledge to analyze a variety of data to develop schematics, designs, specifications, parts lists or makes recommendations regarding these items.

·          Ability to work reliably with fine pitch surface-mount electronic components.

·          Expert knowledge of electronic test equipment including scopes, meters, signal generators, etc.

·          Good spoken and written English language communication skills

·          Effective technical communication and documentation.

·          Preferred product design experience.

·          Experience in using schematic capture and board layout software such as Cadence.

·          Ability to understand mechanical, pneumatic and electronic systems.

·          Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
