Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and guidance to inside and outside sales personnel across the  Asia Pacific Region.
• Function as an expert on Brooks Instrument products and services. 
• Interface directly with customers:
  o To respond to technical questions concerning Brooks products and applications.
  o To perform training classes on Brooks products.
  o To offer application support and specify Brooks products on large projects.
  o To participate in and provide technical support for sales calls. 
• From interface with customer, identify new product needs and relate this back to product management. 
• Manage large projects multi-national projects, including quotation and arranging for documentation packages.
• Interface with factories in US, Europe, and Japan:
  o To ensure order information is complete.
  o To update field sales and/or customers on delivery status. 
• Interface with global specials team to profitably provide customers with non-standard products.

Education & Experience

• Four year university level (bachelor’s) degree in an engineering or related field of study.  
• 5-10 years of relevant professional experience.
• Background in process instrumentation preferred.
• Candidate must be able to travel outside of China on an ongoing basis, and must be willing to travel to the US, Netherlands, and/or Singapore to train for several months.
• Must be a quick learner.
• Strong computer proficiency to include Microsoft Office applications (MS-Word, Powerpoint, Excel) is required. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to include fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English is required.  Experience speaking and writing in Japanese and / or Korean would be a plus.
• In addition to the minimum requirements, the successful candidate should be able to work independently, be action oriented, handle multiple projects and have experience in problem solving.
