Responsibilities
As the Principle Engineer, you will:
- Identify and implement creative solutions to challenging problems through hands on research and deep understanding of thin film technology and its applications.
- Lead and participate in interdisciplinary teams to improve the production yield and develop the process control procedures through in depth understanding of the physics of failure mechanisms
- Lead and participate in cross-functional team to identify and quality new materials to reduce the materials cost and improve materials quality
- Lead and contribute to production line optimization, equipment design and sourcing, qualify new equipments to meet the continuous changing market requirements effectively
- Provide senior management with the professional technological assessment for new investment opportunities on thin film
- Recruit, develop the qualified engineering resources
- Manage and coordinate the activities of personnel within engineering division to promote the corporate culture which will include mentoring and coaching.
- Lead the lab equipments and tools acquisition.
- Build and maintain a technical network, including universities and government agencies.
Qualifications
- Doctorate in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field with at least 5 years experience in development of Thin Film technologies.
- Design and Manufacturing experiences in thin film solar cell/module is big plus.
- Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma training and hands-on experience.
- Proven track record of innovation and creativity leading the improvement of product quality, production efficiency, materials cost reduction.
- Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams effectively.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and Chinese.
