Basic Function
Provides advanced technical assistance and training to customers, sales representatives, and application engineers both in the factory and at field locations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Marginal position functions that are not included among the essential duties and responsibilities in this position description are also requirements of this position.
- Maintain a high level of technical product knowledge for state of the art electronic products offered by Brook’s Instrument.
- Maintain advanced level of technical knowledge for various bus protocols, i.e. Device Net, Profibus, Modbus, etc, and others as used in Brook’s products.
- Develop and present technical training material for all Brook’s products to customers and sales representatives.
- Support Brook’s training programs.
- Provide technical expertise at customer site when necessary.
- Perform tasks related to root cause failure analysis and testing of electronic, mechanical, and\or electro-mechanical devices, using judgment in making adaptations or modifications.
- Preparation of failure reports in reply to customer complaints.
- Support the development of software service tools used on Brook’s products
- Regular attendance and the ability to get along with others in a team environment.
- The ability to follow all safety policies and procedures.
- Support company continual improvement initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
- Minimum 2-year Degree and 7 years of equivalent related experience preferred.
- PC knowledge with the Microsoft Windows operating system environment, and/or training or equivalent experience based on management judgment as displayed by maturity and special training, is required.
