X-nth specializes in large, complex projects in the entertainment, hospitality, gaming, healthcare, science, technology and mission critical market sectors. We deliver mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, commissioning, special building systems, lighting design and green building design skills to our clients.
X-nth has more than doubled in size in the past several years with ten offices in cities such as Atlanta, Boston, Las Vegas, Milwaukee, Orlando, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle and Beijing.
Due to fast growth in China, X-nth’s Beijing office needs mechanical HVAC design engineers for large scale building system projects. In this position, you will be designing complex HVAC systems for large commercial and industrial projects.
You must have at least 5 to 10 years of experience designing complex mechanical or HVAC systems for large commercial and industrial projects and you must be proficient using AutoCAD.
A Bachelor degree in Building System or HVAC Engineering is required. An Assistant Engineer or Register Engineer License is also preferred.
The successful applicant should have good interpersonal and communication skill; and have good command of spoken and written English/Chinese. Being fluent in English is a plus.

This important role requires the following skills and responsibilities:
Be able to lead and mentor Designer level staff on all of their responsibilities |
Perform at a ‘responsible charge’ level of meeting GRG’s design and quality levels |
QA/QC review of all calculations by designers, and provides guidance and mentoring |
Determines content of drawings and specs for Designers in order to meet the scope of work |
Write new HVAC specification sections; develop new details, as required for project needs. |
Direct Designer on a daily basis – if required for project delivery |
Review Designer’s quality on RFI answers, and submittal review |
Develop and monitor HVAC work plans in conjunction with PM |
Writes sequences of operations for AHU’s, CHW and HW systems |
Understands and applies concepts of CHW, HW, WSHP, variable & constant flow systems. |
Reviews code related items with Designers, and ensure compliance |
Manages work plans and deliverables on multiple projects within budgeted hours |
Writes studies and reports for HVAC systems on projects. |
Performs Life cycle cost analyses, and energy/cost calculations for HVAC systems |
Perform front-end loading of HVAC systems for projects with Market Sector Leaders and Account Executives. |
