Job Description for SAP BW Architect / Technical Lead
We are searching for a strong SAP BW Consultant with integration exp with Crystal reports, Business Objects, Hyperion, etc. This candidate would be considered a BW architect or technical team lead in BW implementation projects. We are seeking a proven BW consultant who owns significant SAP industry experience.
The successful candidate will be required to have the experience and ability to carry out, but not limited to, the following duties and tasks such as,
- Must have a minimum of 2 to 5 years of direct, hands-on configuration experience in SAP BW.
- Must have completed at least 2 full-cycle SAP BW implementations, including ops planning and manufacturing from Blueprint to Go Live.
- Must have the ability to assume primary responsibility under multiple deadlines for all phases of an SAP BW implementation including:
- Project preparation
- Requirements gathering and analysis
- Business Blueprint
- Realization/configuration
- Go-Live
- Post-production support
- End-user documentation and training
- In addition, must have 2 to 5 years or more of configuring BW:
- Strong understanding of relational and multidimensional data model concepts.
- Knowledge and experience in SAP NetWeaver BI Business Explorer tool suite is strongly preferred
- A variety of client industries/projects valued.
- Experience with customization to BW and BW Business Content or developing custom Business Content.
- BW implementation or upgrade to SAP BI for Netweaver 2004S
- Experience with BW Front End (BEx Analyzer) and/or Web reporting
- Experience with Global implementations/deployments or multiple-R/3-instances to BW a plus.
- Experience with BW/BI 7.0 a plus
- BW Design, create, and maintain custom InfoObjects, InfoCubes, ODS Objects, Data Sources, InfoSources, Update Rules, Transfer Rules, and Communication Structures for SAP and 3rd party content providers.
- Develop InfoPackages, DataSources, Transfer Rules, and Communication Structures to load source data from flat files into Master Data, Text, and ODS Objects.
- Extensive business data modeling, mapping and analysis, with a thorough understanding of relational data structures, star and snowflake schemas and OLAP concepts.
- Use and activation of SAP BW Standard Business Content
- SAP BW configuration and custom development, ABAP, Data Warehousing, Multi-Dimensional Database Modeling.
- Solid understanding of SAP NetWeaver Architecture
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, strategies, and solutions.
- Expertise with BW performance optimization
Qualifications:
- BSc or MSc degree majored in CS or E.E is preferred;
- Minimum 7 year of industrial experience is a must;
- Must be able to frequent travel;
- Must be able to use and have knowledge of ASAP Methodology.
- Must have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must have experience working on small fast pace project teams.
- Must have the ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines.
- Must have excellent communication / language skills, strong business experience, and outstanding end-user interaction.
