Responsibilities :

• Help lead a team of developers and testers which will create and improve the IPTV/DTV software and A/V system;
• Help lead and work closely with the IC development managers and lead software developers to architect, implement, and drive features to completion;
• Identify, define and incubate new features working together closely with customers and the development teams;
• Work closely with external partners to develop, test, and integrate new and emerging protocols.

Qualifications :

• At least 3+ years of software development experience working on commercial embedded software, preferably with WinCE. Experience in system level design, including networking and memory management;
• in depth understanding of IPTV and DTV application / middleware stacks as well as conditional access/content protection technologies;
• Understanding of video and audio core technologies, including MPEG2, H.264, VC-1, AC3, etc;
• In depth understanding of the transport technologies for delivering a hi fidelity A/V experience over IP, including the corresponding protocols, such as TCP, RTP, IP, MPEG2-TS, etc;
• Strong understanding of software development process, participation in at least one full product cycle. Demonstrated skill in writing spec the ability to work effectively both within a team and cross-group to create designs;
• Proven technical management skills, risk management, identify and manage dependencies, drive to resolve issues, and ship;
• Passionate about understanding, managing and satisfying customer expectations;
• BS/MS/PhD degree in Computer Science/EE or related field, or equivalent industry experience, is required.
