Location: Shanghai

JOB PURPOSE

· Responsible for the management of all site activities during the installation, and test & commissioning phases of a project.

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS

1.Co-ordinate the planning and scheduling of installation, testing and all other field activities.
2.Key interface with the Civil Contractors for site activities.
3.Provide technical support for all field installation activities (work done by others).
4.Attend site meetings with customers, staff and sub-contractors.
5.Prepare regular status and the progress reports and meeting minutes for the Project Manager, Project Engineer and the Customer.
6.Ensure all site installation drawings and documents are kept current to relevant revisions.
7.Ensure that “as-built” information is recorded as the work progresses and that this is submitted to the Design office for updating of documentation.
8.Co-ordinate the activities of technical specialists on site to perform integration testing, trouble shooting and commissioning testing.
9.Assist with site testing during the integration and commissioning periods.
10.Assist with training of customer operations and maintenance staff with respect to the train control system.
11.Respond to various customer correspondence, either directly or via the Project Manager.
12.Prepare problem/action reports and ensures these are processed correctly and communicated to the Project Manager and Project Engineer.
13.Perform PICO testing and assists in T&C activities as required.
14.Administer & maintain site office, including the co-ordination of office suppliers, security, etc.
15.Advise project manager of site staffing level requirements.

BASIC SKILL LEVEL REQUIREMENTS
1.B.Sc. Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
2.5 years relevant working experience.
3.Working knowledge of Alcatel products with respect to installation support and testing.
4.Working knowledge of safety standards and practices required at project site.
5.Experience in installation and testing of train control systems.
6.PC literate and use of word processing, spread sheet and scheduling software packages.
7.Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
8.Knowledge of company Policies & Procedures.
