Main Responsibility Areas:
Runs complex engineering tasks that require depth of expertise in more than one skill area. Proactively identifies and solves non-standard engineering problems independently to develop/improve the manufacturing process or methods within own area of expertise. May lead small engineering projects. Implements best practices.
Impact:
Impact is short-term and usually departmental/project in scope. Accountable for quality, accuracy and efficiency of own and/or team achievements. Actions and errors can have program, project, functional impact.
- Owner of design, development and evaluate for new automation requirements in FA(final assembly) area, eg. auto-screw driver, robot, etc.
- Lead the troubleshooting/maintenance support and training to FA equipment engineer and shift technical support team in production.
- Spare parts management of automation system analysis & study, supplier engineering contact window for FA automation system
- Support special design /optimize requriments for SMD/FA equipment team.
- Other new technology application in FA area
- May be the team leader in this function
Requirements:
Typically 7 years relevant experience. Key contributor, recognised specialist.
Accepts responsibility for, and demonstrates support for, delegated decisions. Requires minimum supervision. Uses non standard approaches to resolving issues. Suggests improvements and seeks opportunities for innovation. Some collegial or consultant interaction.
- Preferably come with electro-mechanical background with at least 7 years of experience in parts designing for manufacturing usage
- Knowledge of CAD/CAM or similar computer tools is desired
- Knowledge of ESD and competence in materials selecting for manufacturing use purpose
- Experience in setting up and maintenance of tool-room machines such as drilling / boring / milling and other related processing equipment
- Knowledge in line automation; specific job automation requirement set-up is a must.
- Good knowledge in PID control for automation work cells is an advantage
- Practical Time Study analysis; knowledge in work element breakdown technique
- Some tooling design experience is definitely an advantage
- Must be good in either Process / Equipment / Test ( RF related ) with capability in working under minimum supervision
- Team worker and hands-on
- Good analytical capabilities in product /. Process defects
- Good communication skill ( preferable in English ) and numerical orientated
- Capability in providing technical training, both practical and written to relevant personnel
- Able to work under tight manufacturing schedule and extreme pressure
- must possess not less than 5 years of related experience
- working in an fast-pace electronic industry is preferred
- hands-on attitude; can-do manner
- knowledge in QCC / 6-Sigma and or Lean Mfg is an added advantage ( those with Green / Black belt certification will be given priority )
