Job Description:
Typically requires BSEE or equivalent with 6+ years PCB industry related experience, with at least 4 of those years being responsible for PCB design.
Successful candidate will be responsible for complete, quality design of complex, dense, high-speed, high volume, double sided surface mount printed circuit boards using Cadence Allegro, Specctra and Destiny routing tools and DFM (Adiva or Valor) verification tools. Employee will work closely with hardware engineers to implement design requirements of highly complex board layouts. Employee will also work closely with compliance, thermal, mechanical, safety, ICT and manufacturing engineers to ensure that Cisco standards for quality, DFM / DFA / DFT, safety and compliance are met. Employee will provide the project team with design schedules and status updates.
Skill Requirements:
1. Successful candidate will possess the knowledge and experience to manage and deliver complex, highly constrained, high density, double-sided PCB designs utilizing the latest design tools and fabrication technologies.
2. Successful candidate will be familiar with signal integrity, EMI compliance, safety, thermal, test, assembly and fabrication considerations in order to implement requirements within a design.
3. Excellent CAD skills and proven track record of delivering successful designs are required.
4. Experience with micro (<1.0mm) BGA and micro-via/HDI technology considered a plus
5. Extensive expertise w/Cadence Allegro version 14.x or higher and Cadence Specctra autorouter required.
6. Experience in CAD library/symbol development also required.
7. Working knowledge of SpecctraQuest and either Adiva or Valor DFM tools considered a plus, as is the ability to develop utility programs using Perl, or Cadence Skill programming language.
8. Successful candidate must also possess strong teamwork and collaboration skills, as well as good communication skills, both written and verbal.
