China

Its have multiple facilities and sales offices in China.  For example:

-          Air Conditioning Co, headquartered in Shanghai, PRC

-          Air Conditioning Company manufacturing located in Anji County, Zhejiang, PRC

-          20 Sales offices located throughout the PRC

 

Historically, it entered the market via a majority controlled (75/25) equity JV. The business has been successful and has reached US$20m in turnover.  However, despite the success of the business it is recognized that the market for its products is enormous.  Given this market opportunity it needs to accelerate their growth to capture these niche market opportunities.  Over the next 3 years it is anticipated, it should grow revenues to US$100m.

 

Currently, it is supplying the Chinese HVAC market with:

-          WSHPs from 2 to 100 kW for commercial and residential use

-          High-efficiency units from 4 to 20 kW

-          WSHPs from 4 to 20 kW for geothermal applications.

-          Heat recovery chillers to 700 tons

-          Custom AHU s for industrial applicationns

 

As the operation has grown a wide range products have been introduced and the distribution area increased.  Other products include Chillers, Heat Coils, Air Handling Units and so on.

They are looking for an experienced design engineer to support our cost reduction programs for current furnace, residential and light commercial HVAC products. 

 

 

Job Description

• Directly responsible for all aspects of product design related to cost reduction programs
• Support evaluation and testing of alternative components
• Provide necessary documentation to support product change process
• Lead engineering efforts to identify and qualify new cost reduction opportunities
• Ensure proper analysis is executed to ensure quality of all cost reduction opportunities
• Oversee verification and validation tasks to ensure proper design integrity and execution
• Participate in design reviews
• Quantify cost savings
• Assist the Program Manager as necessary in developing and executing implementation plans

 

Technical Experience/Skills

• 5+ years experience designing and developing residential and light commercial HVAC systems.
• General knowledge of all aspects of mechanical or electrical systems as well as expertise in HVAC components to include:
• AC/DC motors and controls
• Air movement devices
• Compressors
• Sensors
• Wiring, cables and harnesses
• Experience with UL, CE, CSA requirements
• Design for manufacturability, install ability and serviceability
• Solid Works, MS Office
