Qualifications:
- MS in technical discipline or Supply Chain management; MBA preferred
- At least 10 years in Material Management / Supply Chain Leadership experience in a progressive multi-national manufacturing environment.
- Extensive experience in implementation and Leading Lean inventory and production management (Kanban / min max, demand pull systems, POU supermarkets, Etc.)
- Maintain inventory levels that ensure good asset turnover consistent with “World Class” production, customer service and purchasing economies.
- Experienced negotiating skills specific to achieving favorable prices, services, lead-time reduction and as well as managing supply risk.
- Lead purchasing activities and resources associated with site New Product Introduction efforts. Coordinate new supplier development, new item and critical sourcing risk activities with Commodity Management Team.
- Maintain compliance with corporate and facility policies & procedures. Ensure the highest standards of integrity and professionalism are adhered to in the procurement and inventory management process.
- Experience in leading continuous improvement programs/projects, providing department leadership, setting organizational and individual goal including key performance metrics in all areas of responsibility
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Excellent oral and written English communication skill.
- Excellent people management and Leadership skill. Be able to lead the team setting aggressive goal and expectations, while motivating them effectively in achieving these goals.
- Fluency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Powerpoint
- CPM, APICS (American Production & Inventory Control Society) or other industry certifications desired.
Responsibilities:
- Primarily responsible for Leading the production and capacity planning, procurement, material handling and distribution teams for our World Class Shenzhen Operations.
- Key responsibilities include directing multiple facets of supply chain management including, demand management, production planning including establishing demand pull systems for internal suppliers as well as external suppliers, NPI, capacity planning, cost reduction, contract negotiation, logistics, warehousing, inventory management and controls to support multiple product centers and markets.
- Establish strategic direction for Material Management organization to ensure business growth as well as cost, quality and delivery objectives are met.
- Identify priorities for Continuous Improvement initiatives using Lean principles. Facilitate, sponsor and direct resources for these initiatives to ensure improvements objectives are realized.
- Act as Primary interface to Global counterparts on an on-going basis to facilitate critical business deliverables and to support the development of new strategic business process / system improvement initiatives.
- Provide leadership to the team to deliver results.
