Qualifications and experience:

Based in CamSemi Shenzhen office, the Field Applications Engineer will be targeted with winning customer design-ins in the Asia market especially China. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years hands-on SMPS design experience in a high volume manufacturing environment and it would be desirable if they had some experience with EMC testing. The candidate should also have some exposure to material costs and BOM costing. Language skills will also be important and we would expect the successful candidate to be able to speak and write fluent English and Mandarin.

Essential competencies:

· High volume SMPS design experience and be familiar with forward and fly-back topologies
· Full design life cycle (specification, design, test, launch, volume production)
· Knowledge of cost/performance trade-offs in SMPS design
· International EMC and safety regulations
· Report writing
· Transformer design
· Good commend of English

Desirable competencies:

· Knowledge of potential suppliers in the marketplace (in various countries)
· Familiarity with integrated power ICs and controllers used in ac/dc power supplies or equivalent products
