The Legrand group, which in 2005 made net sales of €3.2 billion and employs some 31,000 people globally, is the world specialist in products and systems for electrical installations and information networks in residential housing and commercial buildings and in industry.
The Legrand group has some 60 units worldwide and sells in more than 160 countries. Its product offer is particularly wide-ranging since the Legrand group offers over 130,000 catalogue items distributed among 80 product families.
Legrand continues expansion in China by investing in TCL International Electrical, the number-one in wiring devices in China, TCL Building Technology, which holds strong positions in Voice Data Image (VDI), and Shidean Technology, the Chinese leader in audio and video door entry systems at the end of 2005.
Headquartered in Shanghai, Legrand China is expanding its Termination Protection business through nation-wide sales force with support from its manufacturing facility in Changpin, Beijing and the logistics & distribution center at Wai Gao Qiao Free Trade Zone of Shanghai.
