BASIC OBJECTIVE & PURPOSE OF JOB:
Maintain engineering support for diffusion process area of the Wafer Fab.
MAJOR SPECIFIC DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Sustaining Engineering.
· Maintain process specifications.
· Implement and help maintain process controls.
· Disposition scrap and nonconforming lots.
· Perform DOE’s and other tests as required.
· Perform failure analysis on lots or wafers as required.
· Work to continuously improve the process.
· Work to reduce variation and increase yields.
· Drive continuous improvement for productivity and cost reductions.
· Work to reduce costs and/or increase capacity of the process, as strategy requires.
· Work to improve the health and safety of the work environment.
FACTORS:
KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Required:
· BS in Engineering, Chemistry, or Physics or equivalent experience.
· At least 3 years wafer fab experience or 2 year diffusion area.
Preferred:
· Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
· Knowledge of diffusion, oxidation, ion implantation and epitaxy.
· Knowledge of DOE and SPC techniques.
· Knowledge of MiniTab.
· Good command of written and spoken Chinese and English will be excellent.
· Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt.
ACCOUNTABILITY:
Reports to Engineering Manager.
