PROCESS TECHNICIANS (Process and Oil Movements)
Job Responsibilities:
The Process Technician (PT) is a member of the Shift Team and reports to the Shift Controller. He/she is fully capable of running one process unit group at the respective competency, rotating accordingly.
The PT’s responsibilities include:
- Supporting the Team Leader (TL) with all operational activities in his process grouping:
- to operate the process units within the Production Area in accordance with plan;
- to manage plant upsets and subsequent trouble-shooting, manage incidents/plant emergencies and subsequent follow-up;
- to report all incidents, near misses, deviations from plan and when required, to take part in further investigations;
- to assist in coordination of daily maintenance planning and participate in shutdown and start up of units;
- to assist in keeping process materials records and to maintain proper housekeeping practices;
- to keep a record of operational activities for handover purposes.
- Participating in minor maintenance activities.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma or equivalent certification in Chemical Engineering/Chemical Process Technology preferred.
- Diploma or equivalent certification in Electronics/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering with relevant process experience.
- Candidates will be required to work on rotating shifts.
- Candidates with petrochemicals/oil refinery experience preferred.
- Fluency in basic English language preferred.
