Position Title:            General Manager of Business Unites

(Electrical, mechanical, Automation, energy sources related industries)

Location:                    Guangdong, China

Our client is the leading provider of energy measurement solutions worldwide. They provide a complete range of metering services, total solutions and products for electricity, head and gas to energy utilities all over the world. The sales revenue was approx €786 million in 2007. They have manufactory base in China and sales offices in different cities with about 500 people. To cope with their aggressive expansion in the market, they are now looking for an outstanding business management caliber to join them as a key member of the top management in China!

Scope of Responsibilities:

• Reports to the CEO, China, and being a Business Partner for the top management team in China
• Directs and manages the operations of all the Business Units, taking the P&L responsibilities (Current revenue is approx Rmb400 million)
• This individual will support business growth organically and inorganically through appropriate business strategic planning and resources allocation
• Fulfill fiscal responsibilities by managing products development, monitoring marketing activities, coordinating  and cooperating with R&D and sales teams and providing timely reports of BU performance
• Ensure adherence to business management standards, procedures, and policy
• Achieve efficiency, profitability, and high technical standards in the Bus
• Provide analysis on market and product development to management on leading the business and achieving operating and financial objectives

  Candidate Specifications:

• Bachelor degree with the major of electrical engineering, measurement, instrument, telecommunication, industrial automation, system integration or other technical relevant; MBA or EMBA is preferred
• Minimum 10 years solid experience in senior managerial positions with sophisticated multinationals/leading enterprises in China (Asia Pacific)
• Must have over 5 years experience of managing business units (with full P/L responsibility) (MUST)
• Must have strong proven track records of project/product/program management, as well as technical engineering, and production
• Preferably with experience in system-solution-base industries (IT solution, electronics, measurement, electrical etc.)
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-growing and fast-changing business environment in China
• Work effectively, persuasively, and interactively with senior executives, customers and government officials
• Strong ability to lead/coach people, will balance that with practical sense, personal drive, and strong understanding of running and growing business
• Rigorously analytical, attentive to detail, hands-on, strong team player, professional and humble, able to work under pressure to meet deadlines and highly ethical
• Speaks fluent in Mandarin and English (oral and written), and culturally comfortable working in the European and Chinese business communities
