Position: Quality Engineering Manager
Director Report to: Quality & Change Management Director
Job Location: Suzhou, Jiangsu
POSITION OBJECTIVE:
Purpose of Quality Engineering Manager Position is to work as part of supply unit management team in cooperation with the organization in implementing the defined strategy to support our client's growth by providing the most competitive offering and solution to frontlines and providing a reliable and efficient delivery process (tender-to-site).
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitor and control all elevator product quality problems:
- Manage the performance of Elevator Feedback Team in feedback handling, analysis and its corrective actions follow-up according to our client's quality management system;
- Prepare the Measurement Report for Elevator Feedback / Product Quality monthly to superior;
Handle and solve those serious elevator quality problems:
- Review all feedbacks and maintain a Listing of Serious Elevator Quality Problems;
- Work together with other related departments or set up separate task group for monitoring and solving the serious problem;
- Update and report the Listing of Serious Elevator Quality Problems monthly to superior and related parties;
Co-ordinate the Elevator quality issues between Frontline units and Elevator Supply Unit:
- Chair the Elevator Feedback Meeting monthly with participants at least from frontline, production and LCM;
- Coordinate and work with related departments for monitoring and implementing the Improvement Feedback;
- Assist the Product Development Team in quality follow-up during product development stage;
Act as our client's representative in clarifying elevator product quality issues to frontline units, authorities and customers:
- Participate in the meeting / discussion as instructed by the superior;
Manage and develop own organization:
- Plan and Build up the needed capabilities;
- Guarantee we have the personnel needed;
- Motivate people.
REQUIREMENTS:
- University degree major in mechanical / electrical engineering or equivalent;
- Strong communication skill of Mandarin and English (spoken and written), sound PC skills, systematic work and detail investigation with high teamwork sprite;
- Knowledge of ISO, familiar with QA, QC tools;
- Good interpersonal skills;
- Strong data analysis and problem solving skills with proven record; Six Sigma trained is preferred;
- More than 8 years experience in quality control, quality management preferably of elevator products with at least 2 years in a managerial position;
- Experience of driving continuous improvement on quality system and process capability;
- Forward thinking & Proactive, highly motivated, task driven with strong sense of responsibility.
