The incumbent will support Tianjin Operations to insure that Sourcing Strategies are fully implemented and executed. The position will be responsible for supplier setup, contract pricing, standard costs, supplier lead-time, quotation (RFQ), supplier quality, delivery. The incumbent will also work as Global Commodity Manager responsible for certain key commodities on a global basis to develop supply base, execute commodity strategies, identify and implement cost reduction ideas.
Responsible for working with Commodity Managers in the Strategic Sourcing organization to identify major projects that need to be moved to another supplier either for cost savings opportunity or for other business needs.
Mange buffer stock and inventory transfer between suppliers to ensure sufficient inflow of production parts.
Negotiate Long Term Agreements with prospective suppliers to achieve year over year cost savings and build alliances with strategic vendors.
Work closely with suppliers and DE globally and Tianjin manufacturing team to identify and execute Value Engineering/Component Engineering opportunities to take cost out of product.
Coordinate all New Product Introductions and Transitions for Contract Manufacturing Assemblies to ensure that there is not any line stoppage and that all quality, delivery, and pricing objectives are being met. Negotiate the lowest possible price up-front.
Use Honeywell tools (total cost model) and processes to drive fact based decision making. Promotes early supplier involvement of approved suppliers to optimize quality and produceability at lowest cost per program requirements.
Act as HPS representative on selected Global Commodity Teams.
Act as a Sourcing Site Leader for Tianjin Operations.
Execute contracts with selected supply base as required.
Escalation point to resolve supplier performance issues of assigned commodities/suppliers.
Ensure selected supply base is meeting HPS initiatives for cycle time reduction, productivity, quality and delivery.
Satisfy requirements for quality, productivity and delivery.
Interface regularly with all level of personnel within HPS, ACS and supplier globally.
Excellent teaming skills and proven track record of leadership and supervision of direct reports required.
Communicate any Transitions to the factory and receive buy-in for implementation timeline.
Responsible for achieving business objectives: productivity, defect reduction, lead-time reduction, on-time delivery, and new supplier launches.

Experience/Education Required/Sought:
College degree in Business; 6 years Supply Chain Management / Manufacturing experience, MBA, CPM, and/or APIC's certification a definite plus.
