1.   Purpose
      Summarized why the job exists and the contribution it makes to the overall business of the company
 
l           To manage and expand sourcing activities of Electrical Team commodities in China,
l           To develop capable corporate electrical suppliers base
l           To improve material inflation, DPO, E-sourcing for Chinese supplier base of Electrical Team commodities. 
2.   Duties & Responsibilities (By Category and %)
Please group the job duties into major areas of responsibilities beginning with the most important responsibilities.
 
1.      Implement corporate commodity strategies and develop China commodity strategy that meet the goals and objectives of the business in China. Integrate key programs of best cost sourcing, eSourcing, leverage, velocity and DPO improvement.
2.      Manages supply base including relationships and performance and executes Emerson global sourcing process.
3.      Collaborates internally and externally as required to optimize supply chain results.
4.      To develop potential suppliers to a level suitable to qualify to be in the PSL (Preferred Supplier list) in capability, quality and cost level.
5.      Tracks and reports on key performance indicators (material inflation, E-soucing, BCC etc.) and project tracking database.
6.      Work collaboratively with divisions and support their needs, at the same time, enforce corporate objective on managed commodities.
7.      Conduct benchmarking studies and analyzes industry trends to assess short and long term strategic goals and objectives.

5.   Qualifications and Experience
      Describe the level of education, professional qualification, training, experience, people management skill, which are the minimum requirement for effective performance in this job.
Must:
1.      Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering
2.      Excellent communication skills, bilingual (English & Chinese), both written & spoken
3.      Must show ownership and self-accountability for project success
4.      Proven leadership abilities and project management skills
5.      Willingness to travel to fulfill responsibilities
 
 
 
Preferred:
1.      Above 7 years of electrical components sourcing experience
2.      Knowledge in low voltage apparatus is a plus.
