Major responsibilities:
l Participation as an active member of the product development team to develop residential air handlers;
l New concept development (some use of Pro/E as required);
l Engineering analysis (such as performance simulations and coordination of FEA or CFD);
l Six Sigma analysis techniques (e.g. FMEA, QFD, DOE, tolerance analysis, etc.);
l Detailed product design and coordination of Designers;
l Material / component qualification and selection;
l Prototype development including laboratory test coordination and data analysis;
l Engineering data/unit attribute creation;
l Agency listings (e.g. UL).
Requirements:
l Minimum BSME required, HVAC engineering design preferred;
l Minimum 2+ years experience in related field;
l Mechanical engineering design;
l Good verbal and written English communication skills;
l Understanding of basic heat transfer, fluids, and refrigeration cycle;
l Working knowledge of UL 1995 standard preferred;
l Familiarity with PC based Windows programs (Excel, Word, Access, Project, etc.);
Familiarity with Pro-E 3-D solid modeling, some experience preferred
