Responsibilities
• Analyze cost reductions opportunities and provide resolution of quality issues on key components;
• Material/component qualification and selection of projects based on multi-generational component plan;
• Engineering analysis and design using analytical tools such as performance simulation programs, Pro-E, and other software;
• Prototype development, scheduling and testing;
• Engineering data and unit attribute modification as needed;
• Provide submittals for agency listings (UL, CSA, etc.)
Qualifications
• Minimum BS in Mechanical Engineering required. Fresh graduates with relevant research experience are welcome;
• Experience in qualification of HVAC components, in-depth knowledge in one or more of the below components preferred: fan, blower, liquid distributor/charger, valve etc;
• Knowledge of UL 1995 standard, fan laws, and refrigerant systems;
• Problem assessment, analysis & resolution skills;
• Knowledge of noise and vibration concepts a plus;
• Results oriented individual with emphasis on achieving overall team performance;
• Good verbal and written communication skills (English and Mandarin);
• Creative with the ability to make quality decisions in a timely manner.
